Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Peter Batts (ranked 2579 p4p, 285 weight class) and Otavio Martins (ranked 1551 p4p, 202 weight class). Batts comes to the cage accompanied by Midnight City - By: M83. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Peter Batts!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Otavio Martins!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fighters circling - Martins throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Martins missing with a left hand there. Batts was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Martins looks to throw the jab but Batts is out of range.
Batts connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Batts connects with a nice looking jab.
Peter Batts seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Martins takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Batts avoids a punch combination nicely.
Batts walks into a straight right hand from Martins.
Martins tries to clinch but Batts moves out of range.

Batts manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Martins on his heels. He'll look to pass Martins's guard now, I'm sure.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Batts throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Martins works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Batts stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Martins swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Martins is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Batts's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Batts is working Martins over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Batts postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Our spies down at at Shark Tank MMA inform us that Martins has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?
Martins has momentary wrist control but Batts slips an elbow through the middle.

Martins takes one on the chin but seems OK.


Martins is rocked!
Batts fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Martins to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Martins looks to clinch but Batts throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Martins taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:13 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Peter Batts!
After the fight, Peter Batts was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
