With a record of 17 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Aldo Barbados!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Crespo lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Crespo looks to clinch
letting Barbados counter with a right hand.

Barbados gets caught napping as Crespo dives in and scores a takedown. Barbados manages to retain guard.

Barbados manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Silvio Crespo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Barbados tries to move into range but Crespo moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

We've been hearing reports that Crespo has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Barbados throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Crespo shoots in and drives through. Barbados sprawls well.

Barbados uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Crespo.
Barbados lands a glancing blow to the side of Crespo's head.
Crespo moves to clinch but Barbados breaks away
and Barbados counters with a nice leg kick.
Barbados ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Crespo tries to land a front kick but Barbados steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Crespo lands a right hand that snaps the head of Barbados backwards.
Barbados has had enough of the clinch but Crespo keeps him there for the moment.

Barbados looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Barbados blocks an uppercut.

Barbados tries to circle away but Crespo has him pinned against the cage.

Crespo has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Barbados regains guard immediately.
Barbados wants to get back to his feet but Crespo is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Crespo postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Crespo throws a big right hand that misses.
Barbados working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Crespo.
Crespo throws an elbow that misses. Barbados uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Crespo's guard. Nice move by Barbados!


Crespo is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Barbados frees his head nicely. Oh but Crespo has switched to an armbar! Barbados is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
