Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mike Van Rijn (ranked 1904 p4p, 233 weight class) and Dumba Diame Jr (ranked 2279 p4p, 259 weight class). Diame Jr has chosen Get It On The Floor as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mike Van Rijn! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dumba Diame Jr! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Diame Jr tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Diame Jr fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
The fight stays on the outside here - Van Rijn looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Van Rijn lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Van Rijn cracks Diame Jr with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Diame Jr throws a half hearted mid kick. Van Rijn takes a kick to the body and keeps moving. Van Rijn scores with the left hand. Diame Jr knows he should have avoided that one. Diame Jr closes the distance and clinches up with Van Rijn, looking for a takedown. Diame Jr pushes Van Rijn against the cage but Van Rijn circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Van Rijn seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. Diame Jr looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Diame Jr scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. This has been an exciting period of action! Diame Jr is working for a kimura but Van Rijn is defending it quite comfortably.

Van Rijn is in trouble now - Diame Jr has advanced to mount!
That's one minute gone in the round. Van Rijn is desperately trying to improve his position but Diame Jr has a good base and remains in mount. Van Rijn tries to lock up and control but Diame Jr gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Diame Jr fails to take his opponent's back. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Diame Jr manages to capitalize on a mistake by Van Rijn to take his back! Van Rijn has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. You can see the frustration on Van Rijn's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Diame Jr controls the action. Diame Jr is cranking Van Rijn's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Van Rijn! He's tightened the choke and Van Rijn is tapping out!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Dumba Diame Jr! Jumping up and down and very excited, Dumba Diame Jr waved his t-shirt featuring Riner Clothing's logo in front of the cameras.
