Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dimitri Romanov (ranked 3125 p4p, 355 weight class) and Hiroshi Kawanabe (ranked 2013 p4p, 238 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Hiroshi Kawanabe! The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Santiago Holmes and Bart Greer.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kawanabe looks to land a left hand but Romanov moved out of range nicely. An attempted straight right counter from Romanov misses the target. Kawanabe has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight. Romanov lands a nice hook to Kawanabe's body. Kawanabe takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Kawanabe looks to land a combination but Romanov avoids it well. That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Kawanabe comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Kawanabe lands a jab.
