Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Genji Kamogawa (ranked 6315 p4p, 640 weight class) and James Romero (ranked 8086 p4p, 714 weight class). Kamogawa comes to the ring accompanied by Skillet - Feel Invincible. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Genji Kamogawa! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, James Romero! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Yuuki Gou and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Romero is trying hard to land a takedown here. Kamogawa sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Kamogawa lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Romero has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Romero and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Kamogawa throws a solid leg kick but Romero takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Kamogawa. Romero shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Kamogawa is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Romero. Kamogawa throws a leg kick but Romero moved away. Romero has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Kamogawa is landing a low percentage of strikes. Kamogawa stuffs the takedown. Genji Kamogawa has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of James Romero. Romero fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Kamogawa avoids it really well and circles away. Romero should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Romero tries for a takedown but Kamogawa sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Kamogawa. Romero tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Kamogawa is looking to land body kicks.
That's one minute gone in the round. Romero fails with a takedown attempt from distance. As Romero tries to get set, Kamogawa tries to push him back and clinch up but Romero manages to avoid the attempt. Kamogawa clinches up with Romero and pushes him back against the ropes. Kamogawa manages to break the clinch.
Romero shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kamogawa as he avoids it easily. Kamogawa moves into the clinch. Romero blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Kamogawa breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Kamogawa stuffs the takedown. Kamogawa defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Romero. Romero will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Kamogawa misses with the body kick and Romero decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Kamogawa's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Romero thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Kamogawa is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Romero wants to pass the guard but Kamogawa is keeping the position. Romero advances to half guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Romero is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Kamogawa sees it coming and defends easily. Kamogawa is defending against the submission attempts here by Romero.
Kamogawa is doing well to control the position and prevent Romero from advancing to side control. Romero is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Kamogawa is positioning himself well to prevent Romero advancing to mount. Kamogawa on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Kamogawa tries to get out of the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Romero seems to be working for a kimura but Kamogawa defends the submission attempt. Kamogawa preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head. Kamogawa's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Kamogawa tries to get to full guard but Romero has control of the leg. Kamogawa is controlling Romero's trapped leg to prevent Romero from advancing to side control. Romero is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Kamogawa is looking for a sweep. Romero is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Romero wants to work for an arm triangle but Kamogawa is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Romero works his way into side control. Kamogawa struggling a bit here. Romero has hold of Kamogawa's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Kamogawa seems comfortable defending it but Romero has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Kamogawa is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Kamogawa is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Romero couldn't care less - he's delighted!
