Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rico Swagger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Savage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Savage has chosen Little Red Rooster by Rolling Stones as his entrance music. Jack Savage has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jack Savage! The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Vladimir Khabensky and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Savage fails to land with a series of punches.
Swagger wants to clinch up but Savage keeps it at a distance. Savage wants to clinch but Swagger slips to the side and Swagger counters with a lovely straight right hand! Savage wants to clinch and Swagger counters with a series of strikes. Savage will be more careful next time no doubt. Swagger connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Savage misses with a combination
and Swagger moves into the clinch. Savage lands a nice elbow from the clinch. Swagger wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Swagger has had enough of the clinch but Savage keeps him there for the moment. Swagger could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Savage missing with knees to the body.
Savage lands a nice knee to the body. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Swagger breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Savage doesn't succeed with the takedown and Swagger counters with a one-two to the body. Savage tries to clinch and Swagger counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Savage keeping moving, preventing Swagger from controlling successfully. Swagger stands and throws Savage's legs to the side, diving into side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Savage can't do much from the bottom here. Swagger is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Savage has escaped the position, nice work there. Savage is looking for a sweep. Swagger wants to control but Savage is keeping him busy. Savage is looking to reverse the position. You can see the frustration on Savage's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Swagger trying to control the action but Savage is working from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Swagger shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Swagger landing strikes from the mount and Savage is in trouble! Savage really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Savage looks gassed! Savage is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position. The referee warns Savage that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Swagger stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing. Savage tries to clinch and Swagger counters by moving into the clinch. Swagger breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Swagger shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Savage is trying to control the position but Swagger postures up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Swagger sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Savage's guard. Savage has hold of Swagger's hands but Swagger slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Swagger is tying to control. Savage wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Swagger winds up and cracks Savage with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Swagger is thwarting Savage's attempts to control the position. Savage is in trouble now - Swagger has advanced to mount! Swagger looking to control but Savage is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Savage is trying to get back to his feet but can't. Savage is squirming around, avoiding Swagger's attempts to control the action. Swagger postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Savage looks a forlorn figure.
Swagger connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Swagger looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Swagger goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Savage turns into him and now he's in Swagger's guard.
Savage preventing the sweep. Savage wants to get up but he can't break Swagger's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Savage trying to control the position from guard on top but Swagger is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Swagger lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Savage! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Savage is in a horrible position here. Swagger smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rico Swagger dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Savage with a poor takedown and Swagger decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Savage's guard. Savage is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Swagger stands up over Savage, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Swagger slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Swagger trying to control but Savage is working from the bottom. Swagger pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Savage is keeping the position for now. Savage wants to stand but Swagger is controlling the position. Swagger trying to control the position from guard on top but Savage is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Savage is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Swagger drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Swagger jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Swagger pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Savage is keeping the position for now. Swagger connects with a couple of short punches. Swagger drops back looking for a leg! Savage is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Savage manages to kick Swagger off! Swagger jumps back into Savage's guard. Savage wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Swagger manages to pass to side control. Swagger stalling.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Savage is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Swagger scores with a couple of nice shots. Swagger drops an elbow to the side of Savage's head. Swagger is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Savage is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:36 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Rico Swagger!
