Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Henry Hoodoo (ranked 1510 p4p, 42 weight class) and Master Wong (ranked 2321 p4p, 94 weight class). Hoodoo comes into the arena with I Put A Spell On You blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Henry Hoodoo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
17 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Master Wong! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, George Francis and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A looping hook to the body misses from Wong. Hoodoo does a little dance to reset his feet. Wong has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Wong has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Wong there as he acknowledges the shot. Wong fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Hoodoo, pushing him back against the cage. Our sources have told us that Hoodoo has been working on his elbows in the gym. Hoodoo lands a right hand that snaps the head of Wong backwards. Hoodoo tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Wong avoids it. Wong misses with a short punch on the inside. Hoodoo throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Wongs head. Wong drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Wong is leaning against Hoodoo and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hoodoo stops a takedown attempt from Wong.

That's one minute gone in the round. Hoodoo lands an elbow that stopped Wong in his tracks for a moment. Hoodoo doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

Wong lands a shot to the body. Hoodoo lands a nice knee to the body. A short right hand to the side of the head by Hoodoo. Hoodoo with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Hoodoo creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. Wong lands with a left to the head. Hoodoo lands a hook to the side of the head. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Wong misses with a punch to the body.
Wong is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Hoodoo gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Henry Hoodoo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Master Wong. Wong has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Hoodoo avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. A right handed body shot lands from Hoodoo.

It looks like Henry Hoodoo has been cut. Hoodoo trying to control the position but instead, Wong has worked for underhooks and has pushed Hoodoo into the cage. Wong avoids a wild elbow strike from Hoodoo. Wong misses with the head strike.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hoodoo comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. Wong successfully pulls guard.
Hoodoo won't allow Wong to sweep him here. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hoodoo not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Hoodoo looking to pass the guard. Wong keeping moving, preventing Hoodoo from controlling successfully. Hoodoo got a little sloppy there for a moment and Wong has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Hoodoo has managed to get both his arms back between Wong's legs - danger averted. Wong looking to control.

Wong is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hoodoo throws an elbow that misses. Wong uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Hoodoo's guard. Nice move by Wong! Wong throws a big elbow that misses. Wong missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Wong has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Wong stops Hoodoo from standing up. Hoodoo pulls Wong in close to prevent any damage. Wong stands and throws Hoodoo's legs to the side, diving into side control. Wong looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. A big shot lands for Wong! That's hurt Hoodoo! Will he recover? Wong fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Master Wong! Master Wong took his opportunity to call for a title shot in his post fight interview.
