Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Brian Mc Auley! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Billy Stanlay! The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Eliza Hachem and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mc Auley wants to clinch. No joy there for Stanlay, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Stanlay shoots in for a takedown but Mc Auley shows good takedown defense. Stanlay rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Mc Auley moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Mc Auley is looking to clinch but Stanlay is avoiding it.
Stanlay misses with the combination.
Stanlay keeps the fight on the outside. Mc Auley with a poor takedown and Stanlay counters with a nice double leg into guard. Stanlay scoring with punches to the head and body. Mc Auley wants to sweep but no luck. Mc Auley is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Stanlay looking to pass the guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mc Auley has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Stanlay can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Mc Auley working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Stanlay doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Stanlay manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Mc Auley on a fantastic submission victory.
