Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between KJ Noons (ranked 3524 p4p, 383 weight class) and Arthur Aslanyan (ranked 3452 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Arthur Aslanyan!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, David Hoff and Dirk Anderson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Noons cracks Aslanyan with a right hand to the side of the head.
Noons throws a lazy uppercut

and Aslanyan counters with a takedown into side control.
Noons gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

Noons looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Noons wants to improve his position but Aslanyan is controlling well.

The fighters are battling for position here. Noons manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Noons definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Noons looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Noons wants to lay and pray for a moment but Aslanyan keeps working.
Noons throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Noons dips to his left and cracks Aslanyan with an uppercut!

Aslanyan drives through and clinches with Noons against the cage.
Noons misses with a punch to the body.

Aslanyan has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Noons regains guard immediately.

Aslanyan avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Noons is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Aslanyan defends well.
Aslanyan postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Noons working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Aslanyan doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Aslanyan manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Noons has his foot on Aslanyan's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Aslanyan works his way back into a safe position though.

Noons manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Aslanyan manages to get himself to full guard.
