Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Eli Casey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joseph White (ranked 6348 p4p, 555 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Eli Casey! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Joseph White! The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Bruno Hogan and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Casey shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as White sprawls well. White wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Casey gets slowly back to his feet. Joseph White seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Casey keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
White gets tackled into the cage by Casey. Casey maintains the clinch. White is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Casey gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Casey stalling.

White is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. White throws a lazy right hand but Casey sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Casey drives through and clinches with White against the cage.
White is trying to drag Casey to the mat but Casey just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Casey manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. White thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Casey shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with White but White pushes him off and we're back to square one. Jab, jab by White - just one landing. White waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Casey. Casey appears to be looking for a big counter. Joseph White is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. A combination from White does no damage. White fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Casey on the side of the head. White lands a nice hook to Casey's body. Casey takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Casey drives through and clinches with White against the cage.

That was a close round but I would say that Eli Casey will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
White bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. White throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

White slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Casey is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by White. Casey looks for a takedown but White sprawls well. Casey takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

A little feinted left hand from Casey on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. White jabbing away but nothing is landing. Casey throws a series of punches but White moves out of range. Casey is trying to pull guard but White has him pressed against the cage. White jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Casey walks away with a smile on his face. White gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. White jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! White misses with a wild combination.
Casey shoots in for a takedown but White shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. And an attempted straight right on the counter from White! But no joy. Joseph White seems to be getting the better of the standup. White avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
White throws a right hand that Casey ducks under and follows up with a left that Casey also avoids with ease. Casey defending well as White loads up on a big left hand.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nice takedown defense from White. No joy for Casey on that attempt. Casey closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. White is trying to get back to half guard. White is breathing heavily. You can see the frustration on White's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Casey is working White over with some ground and pound from side control. White is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Casey off and has taken his back! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Casey wants to control his opponent's hands but White gets his hands free. Casey manages to reverse the position and now he's in White's guard. Nice work there by Casey.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Casey passes White's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Joseph White showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!
The fight stays on the outside here - Casey looks like he's thinking about clinching though. White swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. White lands a slapping body shot.

Casey looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. White throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Casey sees it coming and avoids it easily. White just misses with a punch to the body.

White has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Casey throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. White was covering up waiting for the punch and Casey finishes the takedown easily into guard. White not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Casey drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Casey jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Casey is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Joseph White is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Casey pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. White is keeping the position for now. Casey stopping the sweep attempt from White. Casey stays in close to White's body and controls the position. Casey passes into half guard. Casey sitting and controlling from the half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Joseph White comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think White has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
