Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Sima Hui (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marco Minotari (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Sima Hui!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Marco Minotari!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Steve Erwin and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Minotari throws a series of punches but Hui avoids them all with ease.
Hui misses with a double jab
and Minotari counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Minotari.
Minotari manages to break the clinch.
Minotari throws a left and a right that both miss
and Hui counters with a two punch combo.
Hui works over Minotari's head and body with a nice combination.
Hui throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Minotari cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
It looks like Sima Hui has been cut.
Hui will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Hui misses with a combination
and Minotari counters with a left to the body.
Hui misses with a series of wild punches.
Hui tries to bum rush Minotari with a series of wild strikes but Minotari uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Minotari has Hui up against the cage in a clinch.
Minotari breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Minotari shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Minotari showed some decent athleticism there.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Hui regains full guard. Nicely done.

Minotari wants to stand but Hui is controlling his posture from full guard.
Hui is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Hui is breathing heavily.
Hui had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Minotari is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Hui Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Minotari's back instead.

Minotari trying to get back to his feet but Hui is in full control for now.
Minotari really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hui. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Minotari defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Hui's arms.
Minotari wants to get back to his feet.
Hui is looking for the choke from the back position but Minotari is controlling his hands well.
