Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Khalid Kadyrev (ranked 6760 p4p, 0 weight class) and Boom Boom (ranked 25513 p4p, 0 weight class). Boom Boom has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Khalid Kadyrev! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Boom Boom! The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Igor Prikhodko and Illya Tyunina.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Boom shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Kadyrev manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Boom postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Kadyrev is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Boom, into his guard.
Boom has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Kadyrev is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Boom. Boom really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kadyrev. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Boom is looking for a sweep. Kadyrev decides to stand up, so the ref orders Boom to his feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Horrible takedown attempt by Boom or perhaps it was just good defense by Kadyrev, which made it look bad. Boom shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Kadyrev's coaches at Cozad MMA St Petersburg have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Kadyrev makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Kadyrev.
That's one minute gone in the round. Boom has gone for a leg lock! Kadyrev slips out almost immediately though and dives into Boom's guard. Kadyrev trying to control but Boom is working from the bottom. Kadyrev wants to get up but he can't break Boom's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Boom has his foot on Kadyrev's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Kadyrev works his way back into a safe position though. Boom looking for subs off his back but Kadyrev has passed one foot through into half guard.
Boom is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Kadyrev pulls his head out easily. Boom actively working from the bottom here. Kadyrev will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kadyrev is figuring out what he wants to do next. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Boom can do anything to dispel that myth. Kadyrev seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Boom does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Boom actively working from the bottom here. Boom looking for subs from the bottom but Kadyrev mounts him! Kadyrev working for a submission but Boom is keeping him at bay. Boom is in all sorts of trouble here.
Kadyrev tries to control but Boom wriggling away. Kadyrev is breathing heavily. Boom is working to get back to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kadyrev really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Kadyrev working for a guillotine from mount but Boom is in no mood to give up. Boom is looking to improve his position but Kadyrev isn't that keen on the idea. Boom wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back. Boom wants to escape the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Boom rolls, trying to escape but Kadyrev keeps control of the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Boom is still trying to improve position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Khalid Kadyrev dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Boom. Kadyrev displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Boom. Boom throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Kadyrev was covering up waiting for the punch and Boom finishes the takedown easily into guard. Kadyrev scrambles and gets back to his feet.

Boom shoots in but doesn't get the takedown enabling Kadyrev to counter with a crisp jab. Khalid Kadyrev has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Boom Boom. Kadyrev drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Kadyrev content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Boom is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Kadyrev defends well. Boom looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Kadyrev passes into half guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kadyrev winds up and cracks Boom with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Boom looking for submissions off his back. Kadyrev is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Kadyrev controlling the pace for now. Kadyrev prevents Boom from getting the reversal. Khalid Kadyrev overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kadyrev manages to capitalize on a mistake by Boom to take his back! Kadyrev is trying to stick to Boom's back but Boom is turning into Kadyrev. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Kadyrev's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Boom. Boom drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Kadyrev manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Boom has Kadyrev in his guard.
Kadyrev is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Boom can do to turn this around? Boom looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Kadyrev has picked Boom up and slammed him! Boom can't keep hold of the triangle and Kadyrev manages to pass to side control! Boom is trying to improve his position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Boom looking for a sweep but Kadyrev has passed into full mount! Oh no! Boom is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Kadyrev lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Kadyrev trying to control but Boom is having none of it. Boom manages to regain half guard. Good work. Boom looking to force a kimura from the bottom here. He's concentrating on that move too much though and Kadyrev pushes past his half guard into mount! Boom is looking to get to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Boom wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back. Boom breaks Kadyrev's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

Kadyrev is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Khalid Kadyrev dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
Boom fails with the takedown and Kadyrev counters with a three punch combo that has Boom backing up. Boom nods at Kadyrev to acknowledge the strikes. Boom has a takedown stuffed. Kadyrev attempts a counter takedown but Boom avoids it well and moves away. Kadyrev feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Kadyrev would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Boom looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Kadyrev passes into half guard.
Kadyrev is trying to control the action in half guard but Boom is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Boom wants to improve his position but Kadyrev is controlling well.
Kadyrev seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Boom is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Boom is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Kadyrev pulls his head out easily. Kadyrev works his way into side control. Boom is not content to let Kadyrev control the position. Kadyrev wants to stand but Boom has his arm trapped. Boom is looking for a sweep.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Boom is squirming around, avoiding Kadyrev's attempts to control the action. Boom can't escape the position.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Kadyrev is working for a guillotine from mount but Boom frees his head quite easily.
And that's the end of the fight! Khalid Kadyrev showed his dominance in that final round. Well Kadyrev has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
