Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Samak Tiyapairat (ranked 4503 p4p, 466 weight class) and Brij Khali (ranked 9273 p4p, 711 weight class). Tiyapairat comes to the cage accompanied by Ram Muay. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
40 - 37 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Samak Tiyapairat! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
35 - 83 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Brij Khali! The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, William Peck and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tiyapairat with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Khali takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Tiyapairat gets in close and instigates a clinch. Khali tries to pull guard but Tiyapairat forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Knees in the clinch landing for Tiyapairat.
Tiyapairat breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Good exchange - Tiyapairat coming out on top. Tiyapairat fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Tiyapairat lands a nice looking body kick. Khali misses with an attempted mid kick.
Tiyapairat gets in close and instigates a clinch. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Tiyapairat obliges. Khali looks winded! Tiyapairat lands an elbow that stopped Khali in his tracks for a moment. Tiyapairat crunches a lovely knee into Khali's ribcage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tiyapairat with a knee to the head.
It looks like Brij Khali has been cut. Tiyapairat utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body. Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Tiyapairat obliges. Tiyapairat manages to break the clinch.
Tiyapairat rushes Khali and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Nice elbow from Tiyapairat. Tiyapairat softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. Tiyapairat pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Khali takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Tiyapairat darts in and clinches Khali up against the cage. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Khali takes a knee to the side of the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tiyapairat lands a shot to the body. Tiyapairat lands a left hand that snaps the head of Khali backwards. Tiyapairat's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. A jab lands there for Tiyapairat. Tiyapairat is throwing a storm of strikes! Right hook, left hook and follows it up with a spinning back fist! Khali hits the canvas like a rag doll! And just like that, this one is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Samak Tiyapairat! In his post fight interview, Samak Tiyapairat started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception. Brij Khali was interviewed post fight and said 'Dissapointed to Lose'.
