Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brandon Kay!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Juan Sorola !
The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Vladimir Khabensky and Valeri Chadov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sorola throws a right and a left that Kay avoids nicely.
Sorola swinging wildly here.
Kay went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Kay rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Sorola moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Sorola works over Kay's head and body with a nice combination.
Sorola gets caught flat footed, as Kay shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Kay distracts Sorola with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Kay stands up over Sorola , holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Kay gets to his feet and stands over Sorola , holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Sorola felt that one! Kay unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Sorola from any more punishment!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Brandon Kay!
