Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mark Kerr (ranked 838 p4p, 87 weight class) and Brutus Leagatius (ranked 1382 p4p, 147 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Mark Kerr! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Brutus Leagatius! The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Damien Edna and Chris Dean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Leagatius throws the left hand but Kerr avoids the punch easily. Leagatius avoids a punch combination nicely.
It seemed like Leagatius was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Kerr checks a leg kick nicely. Leagatius slips a jab from Kerr. Kerr misses with a left hand and Leagatius counters with a lovely straight right hand! Jab, jab by Kerr - just one landing.
It looks like Brutus Leagatius has been cut. A slapping leg kick lands for Leagatius.
Kerr lands a glancing blow to the side of Leagatius's head. Kerr gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Kerr tries to throw a body punch but Leagatius avoids it by throwing Kerr back against the cage. Kerr has Leagatius pressed against the cage, preventing Leagatius from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Leagatius manages to break the clinch.
Leagatius goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Leagatius cracks the inside of Kerr's front leg. Kerr scores with a jab. Leagatius chopping away at his opponent's legs.

That's one minute gone in the round. Leagatius takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Kerr looks to land a left hand but Leagatius moved out of range nicely. Leagatius lunges at Kerr with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Kerr's hand. Leagatius keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Kerr. Kerr slips under a jab. Kerr throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Leagatius sees it coming and avoids it easily. As Kerr backs off Leagatius throws a huge counter combo but Kerr manages to avoid it all. A looping hook to the body misses from Leagatius. Kerr does a little dance to reset his feet. Kerr rushes Leagatius and presses him up against the cage. Leagatius breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Kerr swings wildly with an uppercut but Leagatius uses good head movement to avoid it. Kerr misses with a hook from the clinch. Kerr tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. A nice right hand lands inside from Leagatius. Kerr gets through Leagatius's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Kerr lands a nice uppercut. Kerr lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Leagatius is struggling to control the position. Leagatius working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Kerr lands a hook to the side of the head. Kerr throws a head punch that misses. Leagatius swings wildly with an uppercut but Kerr uses good head movement to avoid it. Leagatius blocks a punch to the side of the head.

That's three minutes gone in the round. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Kerr. Kerr goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Kerr gets through Leagatius's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Kerr pushes Leagatius back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. Leagatius looks winded! Kerr has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Leagatius is trying to keep an underhook but Kerr manages to get the takedown into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Nice strikes from Kerr there. Kerr controlling the pace. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Kerr connects with a nice short shot to Leagatius's temple. Nice strikes from Kerr there. Leagatius is rocked! Kerr is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Leagatius is hurt! He's hurt bad - Kerr fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Leagatius from any more punishment! Congratulations to Kerr! Great finish!
