Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Virgil Abrams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Josh Kosheck (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Abrams's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Jimi Hendrix - Voodoo Child (Slight Return). Josh Kosheck has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Josh Kosheck! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Daniel Franklin and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kosheck shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Abrams's guard. Kosheck in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Kosheck is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Abrams looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Abrams preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Kosheck fails with a takedown attempt. Abrams shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Abrams is breathing heavily. Abrams keeping full guard, as Kosheck tries to pass. Kosheck must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Kosheck keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Abrams's head. Abrams is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Kosheck bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Kosheck blocks the strikes from Abrams.
Abrams can't do much from the bottom here. Abrams is working to avoid the ground and pound but Kosheck connects with a decent elbow. Abrams is positioning himself to get back to half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Kosheck lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Abrams backs up against the cage.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Kosheck misses with a takedown attempt and Abrams decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Kosheck's guard. Abrams wants to control from the top but Kosheck keeps moving. Kosheck is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Abrams loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. That's better than Kosheck was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Abrams slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Abrams moves into full guard.
Kosheck lands a couple of elbows. Abrams has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Kosheck keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Abrams's head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Virgil Abrams dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
