The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hines throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Mayer moves away from the strike by Hines.
Mayer goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

It looks like Greg Hines has been cut.

Mayer closes the distance and pushes Hines back into the cage.

Hines is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

Hines tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Mayer trying to control the position but instead, Hines has worked for underhooks and has pushed Mayer into the cage.

Hines can't find room to land a body shot as Mayer controls the action.
Hines misses with some punches.
Hines is trying to maintain a safe position but Mayer gets an underhook and turns Hines into the cage.

Hines breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

and Mayer scores with a counter punch that sends Hines to the canvas! Mayer smells blood - he's punishing Hines with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Hines has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
