Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mukinio Tambua (ranked 593 p4p, 52 weight class) and Jerome Steel (ranked 1908 p4p, 200 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mukinio Tambua! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jerome Steel! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Wesley Smith and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Steel throws a hook but Tambua blocks it. Steel scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Steel works the jab nicely.
It looks like Mukinio Tambua has been cut. Tambua's jab looks to have found its range, popping Steel under the eye. Steel takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
A jab from Tambua misses. Good exchange - Tambua coming out on top. Tambua shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Steel but Steel pushes him off and we're back to square one. Steel gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Steel misses with a hook. Tambua ducked under it nicely. Steel scores with a jab to the body. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Tambua throws a lazy right hand but Steel sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Tambua connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Tambua throws out a loose jab but Steel uses good head movement to avoid it. Tambua lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Tambua ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
That's one minute gone in the round. Steel connects with a body shot. Jerome Steel is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Tambua throws the left hand but Steel avoids the punch easily. Tambua misses with a looping right. Tambua avoids the body shot from Steel.
Tambua uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Steel has time to react. Steel moves out of range of the strikes. Steel lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. Tambua misses with an uppercut
and Steel counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Tambua thinking. Tambua slips a jab from Steel. A jab from Steel misses. Tambua gets a double leg takedown into Steel's guard. Tambua trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Tambua avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Tambua trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Steel looking for a sweep. Not yet Steel, not yet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Steel is trying to keep Tambua in close.
Tambua throwing strikes but missing. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Tambua tries to free his leg and advance position but Steel is retaining full guard. Tambua pushing down on Steel's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Tambua prevents Steel from improving his position. Tambua is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Tambua looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Tambua is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Steel sees it coming and defends easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Tambua is working for a submission of some sort.
Steel keeping hold of Tambua's head, controlling as best he can. Tambua sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Steel defending well though. Tambua is looking for a kimura here.
Steel felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it. Tambua throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Tambua is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Tambua is looking for a kimura but Steel is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Tambua to get the leverage. Tambua throwing shots but Steel is blocking nicely. Steel is trying to maintain the position but Tambua is very close to passing his half guard. Steel is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Tambua's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Tambua's back! Tambua looking very determined here, making life difficult for Steel.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Steel lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.
Tambua tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Tambua is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Tambua tries to hold on but Steel postures up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mukinio Tambua dominated that round. The cut man is working on Mukinio Tambua's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Tambua moves out of range as Steel strikes. Steel stuffs the takedown. Steel ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Tambua throws a right and a left that both miss. Steel cracks Tambua with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Steel misses with a straight left. Tambua on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Steel sends Tambua crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Steel is motioning to the referee to let Tambua up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Steel fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Tambua manages to avoid it. Tambua closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Steel's guard. Steel has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Tambua off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Tambua is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. Steel misses the jab. Steel jabs Tambua to the body, keeping him at a distance. A telegraphed right hand from Steel misses the target. An attempted straight right counter from Tambua misses the target. Steel steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Tambua. Steel let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land. Tambua lands a head shot. A looping hook to the body misses from Steel. Tambua does a little dance to reset his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. The fighters circling - Tambua throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Jerome Steel seems to be getting the better of the standup. Steel throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Tambua tries for a takedown but Steel sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Steel works the jab nicely.
Mukinio Tambua's cut is getting worse. The fighters circling - Tambua throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Steel looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Tambua keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Steel misses with a looping left. An attempted straight right counter from Tambua misses the target. Tambua moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Tambua lands with an overhand left. Tambua ducks under a wild hook from Steel. Tambua gets cracked there but stands up to it.
OH! Tambua has been rocked by a huge right hand and is in deep trouble! Steel smells blood and charges in for the finish! Steel unloads a vicious overhand right and connects to the jaw of Tambua sending him face first to the canvas! Unbelievable!
