Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Juan Corona (ranked 2758 p4p, 252 weight class) and Charles Briscoe (ranked 4176 p4p, 331 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Juan Corona! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Charles Briscoe! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Chris Downing and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Briscoe looks to land a left hand but Corona moved out of range nicely. Briscoe darts in looking for a takedown but Corona gets double underhooks and turns Briscoe into the cage. Briscoe tries to sprawl but Corona drives through with a takedown into half guard. Corona has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage. Briscoe is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Briscoe punching from the bottom.
Briscoe is refusing to be controlled, as Corona sits in half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Corona thows a huge punch but Briscoe dodges it nicely.

That's one minute gone in the round. Briscoe wants to control but Corona is keeping busy.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Corona passes to side control. Briscoe defending against the ground and pound. Corona advances to mount. Corona get's back to his feet. Briscoe tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Corona defends well and Briscoe ends up having to push Corona into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fight stays on the outside here - Briscoe looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Corona feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Corona controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Corona preventing the sweep. Briscoe working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Corona. Corona stands and steps away. Briscoe gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Corona scores with a one two! Briscoe had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
It looks like Charles Briscoe has been cut. Corona shoots in and bounces Briscoe off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Corona works a leg free and moves into half guard. Corona uses his free foot to push down on Briscoe's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Briscoe. Corona can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Briscoe is looking to escape. Corona throwing strikes here but Briscoe is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Briscoe is working to get back to half guard.
Briscoe is trying to reverse the position but instead Corona has taken his back - oops!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Corona is persistently looking for the submission but Briscoe is defending it well.
Corona controls the action. Briscoe is trying to break free.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Corona trying to control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Juan Corona dominated that round. The cut man is working on Charles Briscoe's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Briscoe tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Corona defends well and Briscoe ends up having to push Corona into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. A looping hook to the body misses from Briscoe. Corona does a little dance to reset his feet. Briscoe throws a hook to the side of Corona's head but Corona sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Corona drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Briscoe tries to land a sweep but no joy. Corona wants to control from the top but Briscoe keeps moving. Briscoe thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Corona trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Corona sitting in guard here, content to control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Briscoe keeping moving, preventing Corona from controlling successfully. Corona drops back, looking for a kneebar! Briscoe looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Briscoe looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Briscoe!
Corona is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Briscoe can do to turn this around? Briscoe fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Briscoe creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Corona sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Corona tries to bench press Briscoe off him but Briscoe keeps the position. Briscoe is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Corona knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Corona wants to control but Briscoe postures up. Briscoe looks up at the clock and then as Corona takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Briscoe smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Corona is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Corona gets back to half guard. Juan Corona overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Briscoe drops an elbow to the side of Corona's head. Briscoe prevents Corona from improving his position. Briscoe is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Corona wants to control but Briscoe is keeping busy.
Corona is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Briscoe's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Briscoe's back! Briscoe tries to escape the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Corona controlling from the back. Corona is working for the choke. It looks like he might have got it... has he...? Yes! Briscoe is tapping out! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Juan Corona! Juan Corona seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
