Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Giovanni Chase (ranked 6060 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cam Miller (ranked 8610 p4p, 0 weight class). Cam Miller is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Giovanni Chase! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Cam Miller! The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, David Schapiro and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Miller closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Chase's guard. Miller content to stall in guard here. Chase tries to land a sweep but no joy. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Miller's corner. There ya go! There ya go! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Miller stays in close to Chase's body and controls the position. Chase will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Chase keeping full guard, as Miller tries to pass. Chase throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Miller is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Miller wants to pass the guard but Chase is keeping the position. Chase not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

That's one minute gone in the round. It looks like Miller might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Miller trying to control the position from guard on top but Chase is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Miller passes Chase's left leg - he's now in half guard. Miller prevents Chase from improving his position. Miller prevents Chase from standing back up.
Miller wants to free his trapped foot but Chase is holding on for dear life with his legs. Miller is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Chase doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Miller. Chase tries to kick Miller off but Miller keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Miller slows the pace down in half guard. Miller seems to be looking for submissions.
Chase is looking to improve his position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Miller is figuring out what he wants to do next. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Miller is looking to take a break and control but Chase is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Chase manages to escape and get back to his feet!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Miller gets the takedown into side control. Miller trying to control the action but Chase is working from the bottom. Chase really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Chase is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Miller swings around for an armbar but Chase sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Miller's guard. Chase is in close to Miller's body, working some short punches and elbows. Chase with a flurry of punches that miss. Chase works over Miller with some ground and pound from guard. Chase with a flurry of punches that miss. Chase wanted to stand there but Miller had control of the position. Chase being controlled here momentarily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Miller avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Chase won't allow Miller to get back to his feet. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Miller can do anything to dispel that myth. Chase stands up over Miller, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Chase lands a couple of decent looking shots. Chase is looking to work some ground and pound but Miller has wrist control. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Chase keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Miller's head. Miller is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Chase defends well. Chase stands up over Miller, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Giovanni Chase will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Miller looking to score a takedown here. Chase is defending well but Miller drives through and ends up in Chase's guard. Miller is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Chase pushes Miller off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. Miller shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Miller showed some decent athleticism there. Chase manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Miller keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Chase decides to pull guard. Miller slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Miller scoring with punches from side control. Miller trying to control the action but Chase is working from the bottom. Chase seems a little lost for a moment, as Miller dominates the positioning.
That's one minute gone in the round. Chase is looking to reverse the position. Miller is looking to take a break and control but Chase is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Chase takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Miller wants to lay and pray for a moment but Chase keeps working. Chase is looking to regain half guard here but Miller keeps moving and retains side control. Chase has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Miller lands an elbow.
Chase is rocked! Miller lands a strong strike to the head of Chase. That's dazed him! Miller looking to finish here. Chase is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Miller lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Cam Miller!
