Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mercher Thomlinson (ranked 3958 p4p, 444 weight class) and Son Goku (ranked 3118 p4p, 360 weight class). Thomlinson comes to the cage accompanied by Savage Garden - Truly Madly Deeply (Hooligan Acapella). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Peter Branson and Dirk Anderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thomlinson pivots, looking for a leg kick but Goku is out of range and Thomlinson settles back down.
Goku pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Goku will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Goku throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Thomlinson looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit.
Goku swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Thomlinson counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Goku, as that shot connected.
Thomlinson takes one to the side of the head.
Goku throws out a loose jab but Thomlinson uses good head movement to avoid it.
Thomlinson staying out of range there.
Thomlinson throws a big counter combination but Goku scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Thomlinson swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Thomlinson ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Goku moves away.
As Thomlinson backs off Goku throws a huge counter combo but Thomlinson manages to avoid it all.
Thomlinson looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Goku misses with a looping right.
Thomlinson looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Thomlinson lunges at Goku with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Goku's hand.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Goku throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Thomlinson displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Goku throws out the jab.

Thomlinson shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Goku but Goku pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Goku rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Thomlinson moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Thomlinson scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Thomlinson misses with a series of wild punches.

A solid leg kick lands there for Thomlinson.
Goku rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Thomlinson counters with a three punch combo that has Goku backing up. Goku nods at Thomlinson to acknowledge the strikes.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Goku misses with a hook. Thomlinson ducked under it nicely.
Thomlinson works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Goku lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Thomlinson at a distance.
Goku throws the left hand but Thomlinson avoids the punch easily.
Thomlinson throws a right and a left that both miss.
Goku throws a nice inside leg kick.
Thomlinson fakes the leg kick and cracks Goku in the body.
Goku lands a glancing blow to the side of Thomlinson's head.
Thomlinson uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Goku.
Goku bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Thomlinson is rocked!
Thomlinson leaves his chin hanging out and Goku seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Thomlinson crumbles to the floor in a heap, and the referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Son Goku!
Son Goku decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
