Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Pat Williams (ranked 2520 p4p, 279 weight class) and Murphy Brown (ranked 2090 p4p, 246 weight class). Pat Williams could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Murphy Brown's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Pat Williams!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

6 - 3 - 1, fighting out of New York, Murphy Brown!
The judges for this bout are Chris Dean, Summer Carpenter and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Williams tries to clinch up but Brown circles away and keeps his distance.
Brown looks to land a combination but Williams avoids it well.
Brown digs a good hook to Williams's body.
Williams wants to clinch.
Brown gets tackled into the cage by Williams. Williams maintains the clinch.
Brown lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Brown lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Williams backwards.
Williams fails to pull guard.
Brown's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Williams tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Brown swivels and escapes.
Brown jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
A jab from Brown finds it's way through Williams's defenses.
The fight stays on the outside here - Williams looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Brown is looking for the big counter here.
Williams is looking to clinch but Brown is avoiding it.
Brown swats away the attempt to clinch by Williams.

Williams has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Williams there as he acknowledges the shot.
Brown lands with a nice body punch.
Brown lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.

Williams tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Brown just stands there and leans against the cage.

Williams tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Williams jumps guard but Brown turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Williams jumps guard but Brown stands there with Williams around his waist. Williams gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Williams looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Williams looking for a guillotine here but Brown defends easily.
Brown really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Williams. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Williams trying to keep a closed guard but Brown is proving a slippery customer.

Williams is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Williams throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Brown escapes and throws Williams's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Williams is looking to reverse the position.
Williams struggling a bit here.
Williams tries to buck Brown off but Brown is having none of it.
Williams is trying to control Brown's posture but Brown avoids it.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Williams manages to work his way to half guard, despite Brown's best efforts.
Brown looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Williams looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Williams is trying to get back to full guard.
Williams looking for submissions off his back.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Williams trying to control but Brown postures up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Murphy Brown dominated that round.
That's time! Williams's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Brown has managed to clinch.
Brown's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Williams.
Williams tries to clinch there but Brown circles away.
Williams swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Williams misses with a takedown attempt - Brown sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
We've been informed that Brown has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Williams fails with an attempt to clinch.
Brown lands with a nice combination. Williams backs away looking to recover.
Oooooh!!! Brown has knocked Williams down with a huge combo! Brown steps away and waves a wobbly Williams back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Oh Williams is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Brown connects with a stiff jab that staggers Williams - oh and he follows up with a huge uppercut that knocks him out cold! Man, that was brutal!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:44 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Murphy Brown!
