And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Taro Takaoka and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Obermueller missing with a left hand there. Mir was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Mir feints the counter takedown.
We've been told by Obermueller's head coaches at Doherty's Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Bernd Obermueller seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Obermueller moves into range and clinches up with Mir.
Mir is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Obermueller pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Mir tries to pull guard but Obermueller holds him up against the ropes and eventually Mir drops back down to his feet.
Obermueller comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
It looks like Frank Mir has been cut.
Obermueller lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
Mir looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Mir jumps guard but Obermueller turns him against the ropes and keeps the fight standing.
Bernd Obermueller has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Frank Mir.
Knees to the body from Obermueller.
Mir looks winded!
Obermueller lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
That has opened up Frank Mir's cut even more.
Obermueller drops Mir with a big knee straight up the middle! Mir is covering up against the ropes but manages to escape and gets back to his feet!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Obermueller instigates a clinch.

The cut above Frank Mir's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Frank Mir's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
