These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rampage dives in and scores a takedown into Humperding's guard.
Rampage looking to pass the guard.
Humperding not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Rampage slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Humperding takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Humperding is trying to get back to his feet.
Humperding takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Humperding is trying to control Rampage's posture but Rampage avoids it.
Humperding is looking for a sweep.
Rampage just content to control the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Rampage thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Humperding throws a body punch but Rampage moves out of range.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Humperding is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Rampage is controlling him well.

Rampage is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Humperding is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Humperding tries to hold on but Rampage pushes him away.
Rampage has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Humperding's face.
Humperding is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

The referee warns Humperding that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Rampage looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
