Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Neil Cole (ranked 24637 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fip Felipe (ranked 25531 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Neil Cole! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Fip Felipe! The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Alexandre Firmino and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cole has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Felipe finds it's way round the side to connect with Cole's head.
It looks like Neil Cole has been cut. Fip Felipe seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A momentary lapse in concentration from Cole enables Felipe to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Cole manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Felipe throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Cole works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Felipe seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Felipe is in close to Cole's body, working some short punches and elbows. Cole tries to land a sweep but no joy. Cole really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Felipe looking to control the position here, rather than advance. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Felipe stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Cole swivels though and keeps the full guard. Felipe gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Cole tries to sprawl but Felipe drives through with a takedown into half guard. Felipe prevents Cole from improving his position. Felipe slows the pace down in half guard. Felipe thows a huge punch but Cole dodges it nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cole wants to get back to full guard but Felipe has passed into side control. Felipe advances to full mount. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Felipe wants to control the pace but Cole is squirming around nicely. Cole is wriggling around trying to escape.
Felipe has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Cole's face.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Felipe looking to control and managing it successfully. Felipe has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Cole is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Felipe is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Cole can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Felipe content just to control the position here. Felipe wants to control the pace but Cole is squirming around nicely. Felipe wants to control but instead Cole manages to regain half guard. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Cole is looking for a sweep. Felipe is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Felipe seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Felipe is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Cole doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Felipe. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Cole closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Felipe's guard. Felipe scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Cole takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Felipe gets a takedown into half guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Felipe content to control rather than advance.
That's one minute gone in the round. Felipe's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Felipe seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Felipe wants to free his trapped foot but Cole is holding on for dear life with his legs. Felipe works his way into side control. Felipe looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Felipe lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Felipe misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Felipe lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Felipe working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Felipe decides to take the fight back to the feet. Felipe throws a sloppy head kick and Cole moves out of range easily. Felipe drives through and clinches with Cole against the cage.
Cole misses with a hook from the clinch. Cole lands with a light punch inside. Felipe has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Cole regains guard immediately. Cole keeping moving, preventing Felipe from controlling successfully.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Felipe stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Cole swivels though and keeps the full guard. Cole is striking off his back. Felipe thinks nothing of it though and passes easily into half guard. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Cole gets back to full guard.
Cole will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Felipe controls the pace of the fight for a moment. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Fip Felipe showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Neil Cole's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Felipe closes the distance looking to clinch and Cole counters with a nice double leg into side control. Felipe won't be happy with that. Felipe throws Cole to one side and escapes! Felipe has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Felipe dives in and scores a takedown into Cole's guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Felipe slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Felipe is pushing down on Cole's leg trying to pass to half guard. Cole is fighting to maintain full guard but Felipe has managed to sneak the leg through. Felipe is looking for a kimura here.

That's one minute gone in the round. Felipe thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Cole's head. Felipe seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Cole does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Cole is looking to control Felipe's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Cole avoid being mounted? Felipe trying to control from Cole's half guard. Cole has other ideas though and has regained full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Felipe passes Cole's left leg - he's now in half guard. Felipe seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Cole is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Felipe scores with a couple of nice shots. Cole is trying to control but can't.
Felipe wants to stand but Cole has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. Felipe is pressing down on Cole's thigh, looking to free his foot. Cole is holding on for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Felipe slows the pace down in half guard. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Cole wants to control but Felipe is keeping busy.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Felipe gets a double leg takedown into Cole's guard. Felipe drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Felipe jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Felipe working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Felipe slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Felipe is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Cole is trying to control the position from the bottom.
And that's the end of the fight! Fip Felipe comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Felipe winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
