The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Valeri Chadov and Fedor Mirinova.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bass misses with a wild combination.
Nice straight punches there by Stephenson. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Stephenson.
It looks like Calvin Bass has been cut.
Bass looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bass's corner is telling him to maintain position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bass's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Stephenson is trying to control the position but Bass postures up.
Stephenson working a defensive guard but Bass passes into half guard.
Bass is taking a breather. Stephenson says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Bass is thwarting Stephenson's attempts to control the position.
Bass is figuring out what he wants to do next.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Stephenson scores with the left hand. Bass knows he should have avoided that one.
Bass dives in and scores a takedown into Stephenson's guard.
Stephenson is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Bass dives into side control.
Bass really is a fat lump.
Bass has hold of Stephenson's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Stephenson seems comfortable defending it but Bass has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Stephenson is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Stephenson is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Bass couldn't care less - he's delighted!
