Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Attish Mubeen (ranked 7361 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kaplan Temrezov (ranked 7430 p4p, 0 weight class). Kaplan Temrezov has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Attish Mubeen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

3 - 6 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Kaplan Temrezov!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Illya Tyunina and Fedor Mirinova.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Temrezov goes for a double leg but Mubeen avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Mubeen continues to drive forward.
Mubeen throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Temrezov fails with the takedown.
Temrezov throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Mubeen's waist but Mubeen gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Temrezov off to one side.
Mubeen feinted with a counter takedown.
Attish Mubeen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kaplan Temrezov.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Mubeen!
It looks like Kaplan Temrezov has been cut.
Temrezov looks winded!
Mubeen bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Temrezov's head backwards.
Mubeen fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Temrezov checks it well.
Temrezov tries to clinch there but Mubeen circles away.
Mubeen throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Temrezov was covering up waiting for the punch and Mubeen finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Mubeen stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Temrezov swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Mubeen works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Temrezov has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Mubeen is working away from the top position though.

Mubeen is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Temrezov tries to roll over but Mubeen keeps him under control.
Temrezov is trying to control but can't.
Temrezov wants to get back to full guard.
Still in half guard, Mubeen seems content to control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mubeen wants to stand up but Temrezov is controlling the position.
Mubeen with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Temrezov throws a nice looking combination but Mubeen bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Mubeen shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Temrezov pinned against the cage. Temrezov gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Temrezov turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Mubeen shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Temrezov defends it nicely.

Mubeen fails with an attempt to clinch.
Mubeen tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Temrezov manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Temrezov shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Mubeen is trying to defend but Temrezov finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Temrezov is keen to just control but Mubeen is a slippery customer.

Mubeen drops back looking for a leg! Temrezov is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Temrezov manages to kick Mubeen off! Mubeen jumps back into Temrezov's guard.

Mubeen is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Mubeen stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Temrezov swivels though and keeps the full guard.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Horrible takedown attempt by Temrezov or perhaps it was just good defense by Mubeen, which made it look bad.
Temrezov avoids the head kick by Mubeen.
Temrezov tries to close the distance and clinch but Mubeen swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Temrezov connects with a good right hand that stumbles Mubeen. Mubeen circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Temrezov avoids the head kick by Mubeen.
Attish Mubeen is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Temrezov misses with a two punch combination.

Temrezov gets a takedown into half guard.
Temrezov is looking for a kimura but Mubeen is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Temrezov to get the leverage.
Mubeen is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mubeen tries to get to full guard but Temrezov has control of the leg.
Mubeen is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Temrezov can do to turn this around?

Temrezov seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Mubeen does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Mubeen holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.

Mubeen pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Mubeen looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Mubeen has a takedown stuffed.

Temrezov misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

That was a close second round but I would say that Attish Mubeen will probably get the nod.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!
Mubeen darts in looking for a takedown but Temrezov gets double underhooks and turns Mubeen into the cage.
Temrezov tries to score a power double leg takedown but Mubeen sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Temrezov somewhat.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Mubeen.
Temrezov dodges the ground and pound from Mubeen.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mubeen remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Mubeen is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Temrezov is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Temrezov is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Temrezov pushes Mubeen off looking to stand but Mubeen dives back in and keeps control.

Mubeen is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Temrezov knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Temrezov tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Mubeen wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Mubeen doesn't manage to clinch there - Temrezov circles away.
Attish Mubeen is winning the standup battle so far.

Well Mubeen has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
