Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Salvador Pierce (ranked 7952 p4p, 0 weight class) and Conor OShea (ranked 5550 p4p, 0 weight class). Conor OShea has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Salvador Pierce!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Conor OShea!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Paul Tew and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pierce fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

and Pierce counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps OShea thinking.

Pierce gets tackled into the cage by OShea. OShea maintains the clinch.
OShea has Pierce pressed against the cage, preventing Pierce from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Pierce has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. OShea is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Pierce accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

OShea has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Pierce can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Pierce moves into the clinch successfully.
Pierce drops to a knee looking for a takedown but OShea gets the underhooks and prevents it.

A close round but Conor OShea will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Pierce fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
OShea leaves Pierce with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
As Pierce backs off OShea throws a huge counter combo but Pierce manages to avoid it all.

We've been informed that OShea has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

Pierce looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks OShea with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

OShea has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Pierce is working away from the top position though.
Pierce thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

OShea has his foot on Pierce's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Pierce works his way back into a safe position though.

OShea steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Pierce.
Pierce throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around OShea's waist but OShea gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Pierce off to one side.
OShea misses with a takedown attempt - Pierce sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

OShea darts in and clinches Pierce up against the cage.
This has been an exciting period of action!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Pierce wants to break free but OShea has control.

Conor OShea comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
