Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between David Coleman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luke Steele (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Steele has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Luke Steele will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Coleman shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Steele pinned against the cage. Steele gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Coleman shoots for a takedown but Steele saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Steele decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Steele winds up and cracks Coleman with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Steele not landing any meaningful shots this time. Coleman works his way to full guard. Good work. Steele really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Coleman. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Steele throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Coleman is looking for a triangle but Steele pushes his legs off easily.

Luke Steele showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
The fight stays on the outside here - Steele looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Coleman fails in his attempt to clinch. Steele changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Coleman looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to David Coleman. Well Steele has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality.
