Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Daren Wooten (ranked 7542 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dwight Schrute (ranked 6042 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Daren Wooten! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Dwight Schrute! The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Steven Brown and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Schrute shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Wooten sprawls well. Wooten wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Schrute gets slowly back to his feet. Schrute closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Wooten to the mat! Wooten manages to get full guard. Schrute trying to control but Wooten is working from the bottom. Schrute looking to control the position here, rather than advance. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Schrute stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Wooten swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wooten not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Wooten is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Schrute is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Wooten is trying to hold Schrute in close to prevent damage but Schrute has managed to pass into half guard.
Schrute throwing shots but Wooten is blocking nicely. Wooten is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Schrute tries to stand but his arm is trapped. Schrute throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Schrute is working for a kimura but Wooten is defending it quite comfortably.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Schrute is looking for a kimura but Wooten is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Schrute to get the leverage. Wooten keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount. Well, if Schrute is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Schrute shoots in and bounces Wooten off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Schrute stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Wooten swivels though and keeps the full guard. Schrute looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

Schrute controls from within his opponent's guard. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Schrute is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Wooten can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Schrute controls the pace. Schrute trying to control but Wooten is working from the bottom. Schrute distracts Wooten with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Wooten avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Schrute won't allow Wooten to sweep him here. Schrute pushes down on Wooten's leg and manages to get into half guard. Wooten misses with some strikes from the bottom.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Wooten is trying to maintain the position but Schrute is very close to passing his half guard. Dwight Schrute has got the better of the ground game so far. Schrute is trying to control. Wooten wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Wooten avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Schrute. Wooten is looking to get back to full guard here but Schrute has managed to pass to side control instead. Wooten is looking to reverse the position. Schrute content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. Wooten tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Schrute wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Schrute is looking to take a break and control but Wooten is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wooten regains half guard. Schrute is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Wooten has managed to free his arm - good work. Wooten is not content to let Schrute control the position. Wooten knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Schrute on the ground. Schrute with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Schrute seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Wooten does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Nice takedown defense from Wooten. No joy for Schrute on that attempt. Wooten is looking to counter the offense by Schrute and move into the clinch. Wooten misses with a straight left. Schrute is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own. Schrute drives through and clinches with Wooten against the cage.
Schrute is looking to take this one to the mat. Schrute has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Wooten after a bit of a struggle. Daren Wooten has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dwight Schrute. Schrute is breathing heavily. Schrute is working for takedown but Wooten is calmly controlling the position for now. Wooten looking for a takedown. Schrute letting Wooten take a breather here. Wooten gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Schrute rushes Wooten and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Wooten is looking to take this one to the mat. Wooten is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Schrute pulls him back up using the underhooks. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Wooten drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Schrute gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Wooten has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Schrute is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Schrute tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Wooten smiles and moves away.

Wooten is looking to take a break and control but Schrute is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Schrute looks like he's trying to stand up.
