The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bobkins misses with a combination
and Lopez connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Lopez tries to clinch but Bobkins is having none of it.

Bobkins went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Lopez shoots for a double leg takedown but Bobkins sprawls well. He's pushed Lopez's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Billy Bobkins has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Canelo Lopez.
Lopez clinches up with Bobkins and pushes him back against the cage.

Lopez catches Bobkins with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Jeez, Billy Bobkins's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Billy Bobkins's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
