Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kenji Watanabe (ranked 3050 p4p, 328 weight class) and DJ Strawberry (ranked 2884 p4p, 319 weight class). Strawberry has chosen Beastie Boys-Brass Monkey as his entrance music. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Alec Ball and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Strawberry smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Watanabe walks into a jab.
Strawberry fails with a takedown attempt.
Strawberry tries to bum rush Watanabe with a series of wild strikes but Watanabe uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Strawberry fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Watanabe takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Strawberry lands with a nice body punch.
Nice takedown defense from Watanabe. No joy for Strawberry on that attempt.
Watanabe takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Strawberry throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Watanabe counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Strawberry!

Strawberry is looking to regain half guard here but Watanabe keeps moving and retains side control.

Watanabe got a little sloppy there for a moment and Strawberry has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Watanabe has managed to get both his arms back between Strawberry's legs - danger averted.

Strawberry has his foot on Watanabe's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Watanabe works his way back into a safe position though.
We've been hearing that Watanabe has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Watanabe is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Strawberry's half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Strawberry is working on a guillotine. He's managed to get to full guard and he's really squeezing tight! Watanabe is tapping! Great win for Strawberry!
