Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ivan Kozlov (ranked 2455 p4p, 334 weight class) and Sam Micalinni (ranked 2588 p4p, 343 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ivan Kozlov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sam Micalinni! The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Anni Minnemäki and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kozlov lands with a nice combination. Micalinni backs away looking to recover. Micalinni tries a head kick but it misses.
Micalinni looks to score with a jab to the body but Kozlov is just out of range. Kozlov misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
And Micalinni tries to counter it with a takedown but Kozlov pushes his down on his head and steps out. Micalinni misses with a looping left. Kozlov cracks Micalinni with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Sam Micalinni seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Micalinni turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Micalinni has closed the distance and engaged Kozlov in a clinch.
Micalinni is working Kozlov over against the cage. Micalinni can't break the clinch.
Kozlov creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. A short uppercut from Kozlov. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. A head punch blocked on the inside by Micalinni. Micalinni trying to control the position but instead, Kozlov has worked for underhooks and has pushed Micalinni into the cage. A nice glancing elbow lands by Kozlov.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kozlov prevents Micalinni from breaking the clinch. Micalinni is trying to break the clinch but Kozlov is controlling him. Kozlov misses with a short punch on the inside. A short uppercut from Kozlov. Micalinni wants to break the clinch but can't.
Micalinni landing some nice looking knees to the body.
Kozlov blocks an uppercut.
Kozlov throws an elbow that misses.
Micalinni blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Micalinni looking for a takedown. Kozlov lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Micalinni or not. Kozlov misses with a punch on the inside.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Micalinni. Kozlov fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Kozlov gets underhooks to prevent Micalinni's takedown attempt.
Kozlov pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kozlov gets through Micalinni's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Kozlov throws a punch but it's blocked by Micalinni. Kozlov lands a hook to the side of the head. Kozlov lands on the inside with an uppercut. Micalinni has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Kozlov clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Micalinni has his opponent's back but Kozlov is looking to stand. He manages to get to his feet and shakes off Micalinni. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Micalinni throws a sloppy head kick and Kozlov moves out of range easily. Micalinni slips a jab and a cross from Kozlov.
Micalinni shoots and misses and Kozlov counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Ivan Kozlov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sam Micalinni. Micalinni takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Micalinni ducks right into an uppercut from Kozlov. Kozlov fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Micalinni has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Micalinni throws a leg kick which misses Kozlov's front leg but catches the back leg as Kozlov tries to avoid it. Kozlov throws a quick inside leg kick.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kozlov throws a nice inside leg kick. Micalinni throws an overhand right that lands on Kozlov's shoulder, as Kozlov tries to avoid the shot. Micalinni takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Ivan Kozlov is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Kozlov jabs Micalinni to the body, keeping him at a distance. Kozlov throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
A punch combination from Kozlov misses. Micalinni looks for a takedown but Kozlov sprawls well. Kozlov connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Micalinni momentarily.
Kozlov Throws a clean left jab. Kozlov Twirls his body and connects with a Spinning Back Fist that connects flush with Micalinni's chin! Micalinni crumbles to the ground and Kozlov follows up with some unanswered strikes. It's all over!! Nice standup skills displayed by Kozlov!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Ivan Kozlov! Ivan Kozlov decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
