Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Lip Ton (ranked 1249 p4p, 161 weight class) and Sam Witcher (ranked 713 p4p, 93 weight class). Ton comes to the cage accompanied by Snap - Rythm is a Dancing. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
19 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Lip Ton! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Sam Witcher! The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, David Schapiro and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ton looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Witcher misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Ton.
Ton misses with an uppercut. Ton has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Witcher swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
letting Ton counter with a right hand. Ton moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. A decent looking cross lands there for Witcher. Witcher misses with a hook. Ton ducked under it nicely. Witcher tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Ton was well out of range. Poor timing from Witcher. Ton lands a jab to the nose. Ton closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Ton is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Witcher knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Ton is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Witcher's shoulder. That is not cool. Witcher taking punishment in the form of punches.
Witcher really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ton. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's one minute gone in the round. Witcher tries to buck Ton off but Ton is having none of it. Ton working the ground and pound. Ton postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Ton misses with an attempted head punch from side control. The ground and pound from Ton seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Ton will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Ton is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Witcher knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ton throws a strike aimed at the side of Witcher's head but Witcher avoids it well. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The strikes coming from Ton are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Witcher defending against the ground and pound. Ton looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Witcher is avoiding damage well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Witcher is not content to let Ton control the position. Witcher is looking to reverse the position. Ton fails to land a wild elbow strike.

Ton wants to lay and pray for a moment but Witcher keeps working. Ton is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Witcher has escaped the position, nice work there. Witcher prevents Ton from moving into mount. Ton has hold of Witcher's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Witcher seems comfortable defending it but Ton has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Witcher is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Witcher is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Ton couldn't care less - he's delighted!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Lip Ton! Lip Ton looked relieved post fight as he said the following; 'I'm here to break some arms and snap some necks and tonight I proved that I'm the best of the best. Not one person in the promotion can play with me. I'm heading for the top and there is two things they can do about it - nothing and like it!'.
