The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reigns scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Reigns creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Reigns tries to move into full mount but can't pass Manning's legs.
Manning tries to bench press Reigns off him but Reigns keeps the position.
Manning is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Reigns's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Reigns is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Manning sees it coming and defends easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Reigns postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Manning to stand up.
Reigns throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Reigns feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
