Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Douglas Wiggins (ranked 6031 p4p, 0 weight class) and Samuel Samson (ranked 24733 p4p, 0 weight class). Samson has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Douglas Wiggins! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Samuel Samson! The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, James Glass and Phil Schofield.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wiggins gets in close and instigates a clinch. Wiggins manages to pull guard.
Wiggins will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Wiggins is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Wiggins is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Samson loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Samson is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
It looks like Douglas Wiggins has been cut. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Wiggins had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Samson defends it easily. Wiggins is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Wiggins is trying to control the position but Samson postures up. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Samson got a little sloppy there for a moment and Wiggins has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Samson has managed to get both his arms back between Wiggins's legs - danger averted. Wiggins is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Samson defends well. Wiggins is breathing heavily. Wiggins wants to sweep here but Samson controlling him for the moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. Samson postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Wiggins covers up, he's hurt! Samson keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Samson and the ref steps in to end the fight! Samson can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Samuel Samson!
