Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Filip Pavi (ranked 7319 p4p, 606 weight class) and Temujin Borjigin (ranked 5780 p4p, 551 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Filip Pavi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Temujin Borjigin! The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Daniel Franklin and Michael Johnstone.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pavi moves into the clinch. Borjigin blocks an uppercut.
Borjigin is looking for a takedown. Borjigin is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Pavi is keeping busy. Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Borjigin. Pavi misses with a punch to the body.
Pavi lands an uppercut. Borjigin tries to land knees in the clinch but Pavi avoids the damage to the body. Borjigin can't find room to land a body shot as Pavi controls the action.

Pavi definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Still in the clinch, Pavi scores with a nice short uppercut. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Pavi misses with a shot to the kidneys.

Borjigin is trying to maintain a safe position but Pavi gets an underhook and turns Borjigin into the cage. Pavi lands with a right to the head. That's one minute gone in the round. Borjigin trying to control the position but instead, Pavi has worked for underhooks and has pushed Borjigin into the cage. The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Temujin Borjigin. Pavi throws a body punch but Borjigin moves out of range. Borjigin shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Filip Pavi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Temujin Borjigin. Pavi throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Borjigin moves forwards but Pavi connects with a nice, crisp jab. Pavi tries to bum rush Borjigin with a series of wild strikes but Borjigin uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Pavi swings for the body but Borjigin moves out of range.
Pavi gets caught napping as Borjigin dives in and scores a takedown. Pavi manages to retain guard. Borjigin throws a big right hand that misses. Borjigin landing with the ground and pound. Borjigin has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Borjigin sitting in guard, not really doing much.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Borjigin's corner is telling him to maintain position. Borjigin is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Borjigin connects with a couple of short punches. Pavi is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Borjigin is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Borjigin stands up over Pavi, holding his feet. That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Borjigin works a leg free and moves into half guard. Borjigin is thwarting Pavi's attempts to control the position. Pavi taking some punishment here, with Borjigin in his half guard. Borjigin prevents Pavi from improving his position. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Borjigin connects with a nice short shot to Pavi's temple. Pavi trying to control but Borjigin postures up.

That was a close round but I would say that Filip Pavi will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Pavi tries to bum rush Borjigin with a series of wild strikes but Borjigin uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Borjigin misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. It looked like Pavi was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Borjigin slips a jab and a cross from Pavi.

Pavi can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Borjigin controls the pace. Borjigin chips away with some ground and pound. The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Borjigin keeps the fight on the outside. Pavi lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
It looks like Temujin Borjigin has been cut. Pavi lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Pavi. Pavi swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Borjigin counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Pavi! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Pavi wants to get back to his feet but Borjigin drags him back down. Borjigin in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.

Temujin Borjigin showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Temujin Borjigin's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

And Borjigin tries to counter it with a takedown but Pavi pushes his down on his head and steps out. Borjigin closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Borjigin on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Pavi will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Pavi fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Borjigin manages to avoid it. Borjigin ducks under a wild hook from Pavi. Pavi swings and misses with a shot to the body and Borjigin counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Borjigin looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Borjigin looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Pavi with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Borjigin lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Borjigin drops an elbow to the side of Pavi's head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Borjigin winds up and cracks Pavi with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Pavi looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Borjigin takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Pavi moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Borjigin postures up and lands a big shot to Pavi's brow. Borjigin is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Borjigin throws a lazy right hand but Pavi sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Pavi is looking to clinch. Pavi throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Borjigin. Pavi throws a series of punches but Borjigin avoids them all with ease. Pavi is looking to wear down Borjigin with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Pavi misses with a few strikes there.

Borjigin has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Pavi tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Borjigin was well out of range. Poor timing from Pavi. Borjigin takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Filip Pavi. I think Pavi has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
