Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Vitor Belfort (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Charles Clarkson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Vitor Belfort! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Charles Clarkson! The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Felipe Paraventi and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Clarkson throws and low kick but Belfort moves out of range easily. Belfort stuffs the takedown attempt from Clarkson. Clarkson gets slowly back to his feet. Jab from Belfort. Clarkson changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Belfort looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Clarkson should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Belfort sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Belfort makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Belfort. Belfort is trying to keep Clarkson in close.
Belfort has his foot on Clarkson's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Clarkson works his way back into a safe position though. Belfort utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Belfort looking for subs off his back but Clarkson has passed one foot through into half guard.
Clarkson stops Belfort from getting back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Clarkson is keen to just control but Belfort is a slippery customer. Belfort is trying to stand up here but Clarkson is controlling him well. Clarkson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Belfort. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Belfort is not content to let Clarkson control the position. Belfort trying to control from the bottom.
Clarkson is pressing down on Belfort's thigh, looking to free his foot. Belfort is holding on for now.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Clarkson tries to close the distance and clinch but Belfort swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Charles Clarkson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Clarkson tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Belfort swivels and escapes. Belfort keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Belfort scores with a hook to the body. Clarkson takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Clarkson looks gassed! Clarkson takes one to the chin there. Belfort wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Belfort stuffs the takedown attempt from Clarkson. Clarkson gets slowly back to his feet. Vitor Belfort has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Charles Clarkson. Clarkson shoots for a takedown but Belfort saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Clarkson shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Clarkson gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Belfort gets a takedown into half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Belfort decides to return to a standing position. Nice straight punches there by Belfort. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Belfort. Clarkson has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Belfort finds it's way round the side to connect with Clarkson's head. Belfort scores with a one two! Clarkson had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Belfort has managed to clinch.
Belfort drags the fight down to the ground.
Belfort working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Clarkson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Belfort is tightening it up a little... Clarkson has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Clarkson reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Clarkson taps out! nice BJJ there by Belfort!
