Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Noe Jensen! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Takeshi Shuhan! The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Ren Mimura and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shuhan fails with a takedown attempt. Jensen really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Jensen closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Jensen lands in his opponent's guard. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Jensen accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Shuhan working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Jensen. Jensen will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jensen postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Shuhan utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Shuhan looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Shuhan being controlled here, momentarily. Jensen has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jensen is looking to work some ground and pound but Shuhan has wrist control. Shuhan avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Jensen decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Jensen drives through with a takedown into Shuhan's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Jensen trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Jensen stopping the sweep attempt from Shuhan. Jensen trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Shuhan is looking to sweep but instead, Jensen has passed into half guard.
Shuhan gets full guard.

Jensen throws a sloppy strike and Shuhan has hooked up an armbar on the loose arm! He's turned and extended fully! Jensen is forced to tap! Great BJJ from Shuhan!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Takeshi Shuhan! Takeshi Shuhan tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
