Coming up we have a super heavyweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Manny Santana (ranked 7516 p4p, 176 weight class) and Morris Vaughn (ranked 6872 p4p, 170 weight class). Morris Vaughn is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the super heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Los Angeles, with a TWGC record of 1 wins and 1 losses; Manny Santana! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Montreal, with a TWGC record of 1 wins and 1 losses; Morris Vaughn! The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.
The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Santana closes the distance and clinches. Santana has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Vaughn uses from the top position. Santana is trying to control the position but Vaughn postures up. Santana is trying to hold Vaughn in close to prevent damage but Vaughn has managed to pass into half guard.
Santana tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Vaughn has advanced to mount. Uh oh. Score +3 for passing guard: Santana (0) vs (3) Vaughn Santana could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Vaughn tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Santana is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Santana is trying to escape the mount.
Santana gets back to half guard.

Santana is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Vaughn's corner is telling him to maintain position. Santana will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Vaughn trying to control but Santana is working from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Santana looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Vaughn passes into half guard.
Santana won't allow Vaughn to pass to mount. Santana makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Santana. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Santana looking for subs off his back but Vaughn has passed one foot through into half guard.
Vaughn seems to be looking for submissions.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Vaughn is pressing down on Santana's thigh, looking to free his foot. Santana is holding on for now. Santana regains full guard. Nicely done. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Santana tries to land a sweep but no joy. Santana working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Vaughn doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Vaughn manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Vaughn's corner is telling him to maintain position. Santana looking for a guillotine here but Vaughn defends easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Santana keeping full guard, as Vaughn tries to pass. Santana looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Vaughn has picked Santana up and slammed him! Santana can't keep hold of the triangle and Vaughn manages to pass to side control! Score +3 for passing guard: Santana (0) vs (6) Vaughn Vaughn tries to move into full mount but can't pass Santana's legs. Santana is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Vaughn off and has taken his back! Score +4 for clean sweep to past guard: Santana (4) vs (6) Vaughn Vaughn tries to escape but Santana has the hooks in and won't let him break free. Santana is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Vaughn defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
That's five minutes gone in the round. Santana looking to break Vaughn's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Vaughn remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Santana will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke! Vaughn can't escape the position.
Vaughn just trying to survive but Santana is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish. Santana has got one arm under Vaughn's chin. This could be trouble... Vaughn trying to control the other hand but Santana gets it free and sqeezes tight - just a matter of time now! Yep, Vaughn has tapped out! The fight is over!
