Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Cole Burch (ranked 6051 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michal Marynczak (ranked 24736 p4p, 0 weight class). Marynczak is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Whitesnake - Here I Go Again. Michal Marynczak has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Cole Burch! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Michal Marynczak! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Shirou Masuda and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Marynczak moves into the clinch. Marynczak breaks from the clinch.
Burch wants to clinch. Burch closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Burch lands in his opponent's guard. Marynczak is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Marynczak lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Burch seems keen to control Marynczak's posture.

Marynczak stands and throws Burch's legs to the side, diving into side control. You can see the frustration on Burch's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Marynczak controlling the position from side mount. Burch can't do much from the bottom here. Burch is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Marynczak decides to stand back up. Burch tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. A momentary lapse in concentration from Burch enables Marynczak to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Burch manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Marynczak looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Marynczak wants to pass the guard but Burch is keeping the position. Marynczak working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Marynczak is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Marynczak loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Burch is pulling down on Marynczak's head. It's preventing any offense from Marynczak, at least for the moment. Marynczak looking to pass the guard. Burch throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Marynczak wants to stand but Burch has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Marynczak misses with a jab, cross combination.
Burch swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Marynczak throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
As Marynczak tries to get set, Burch tries to push him back and clinch up but Marynczak manages to avoid the attempt. Marynczak gets the takedown into side control. Marynczak looks winded! Marynczak misses with the ground and pound. Burch manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Marynczak has one foot on Burch's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. Michal Marynczak seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Burch on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Excellent takedown into side control there by Marynczak. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Marynczak working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though. Burch is trying to maintain the position but Marynczak is very close to passing his half guard. Marynczak decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet. Burch takes the fight into the clinch. Burch tries to break the clinch but Marynczak is controlling the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Marynczak clinches up against the cage. Marynczak is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Burch is trying to break free.

Marynczak is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Burch is trying to break the clinch but Marynczak is controlling him. Marynczak wants to break free. Marynczak turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Burch sneaks out the side door and pushes Marynczak away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Burch tries to clinch up and Marynczak counters with a nice uppercut. Marynczak feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Marynczak takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Burch is looking to control Marynczak's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Burch avoid being mounted? Marynczak keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Burch is trying to maintain the position but Marynczak is very close to passing his half guard. Marynczak with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Burch is looking for a sweep. Marynczak is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Marynczak sitting and controlling from the half guard.

He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Marynczak looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Marynczak decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet. Marynczak shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Marynczak showed some decent athleticism there.

Marynczak breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Marynczak clinches with his opponent.

Cole Burch has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Michal Marynczak is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Marynczak bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
And that's the end of the fight! Michal Marynczak comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Marynczak has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
