Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, James Hartkopf! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Test Two! The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Columbo Gatti and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fighters circling - Two throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Hartkopf on the wrong end of a nice jab. Hartkopf tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Hartkopf dives in for a single leg takedown but Two sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Two stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Hartkopf is looking to clinch but Two is avoiding it.
Two smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Two changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Two has managed to clinch.
Hartkopf wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Two has him pressed against the cage. Two lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Hartkopf backwards. Two lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. A short right hand to the side of the head by Two. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Two takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Hartkopf is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Good body shot from Two.
Hartkopf's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Two lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Two lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Two lands a right hand that snaps the head of Hartkopf backwards. Two taking a breather. Two working some nice short punches in the clinch. Two throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Hartkopfs head. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Two creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Hartkopf is rocked! Hartkopf letting Two take a breather here. Hartkopf is trying to pull guard but Two has him pressed against the cage. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for James Hartkopf. That's going to take a lot out of him. Hartkopf is breathing heavily. Still in the clinch, Two scores with a nice short uppercut. Oh Hartkopf is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Two lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage. Hartkopf seems to have got his legs back now. A body shot lands from Two.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Two scores with an uppercut up the middle. Two lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage. Two effectively controlling the action here. Two dips a shoulder and cracks Hartkopf with a mighty uppercut! Hartkopf falls back against the cage and Two unloads with a barrage of strikes! Hartkopf is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Two screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Test Two! Test Two thanked the fans post fight for their support.
