Coming up we have a bantamweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Tim Slater (ranked 3647 p4p, 307 weight class) and Anton Poirier (ranked 3893 p4p, 0 weight class). Slater comes to the cage accompanied by Chad VanGaalen - Blonde Hash. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it. Slater wants to lay and pray for a moment but Poirier keeps working. Slater controlling from side mount. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Slater is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Poirier knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Poirier is positioning himself to get back to half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Slater wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Poirier, who protects the arm well. Poirier is trying to improve his position. Slater content to control the pace. Poirier tries to buck Slater off but Slater is having none of it. Slater is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Poirier knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Poirier tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Slater wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

This could be all over! Wait, no, Poirier rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Slater's guard! Nice work there by Poirier! Slater doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Slater manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Poirier has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Slater should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Poirier has tightened it up now! Slater should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
