Coming up we have a bantamweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Tim Tom (ranked 21298 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ben Bikermann (ranked 21613 p4p, 0 weight class). Tom kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Kings Of Leon - Sex on Fire. Bikermann is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Metallica - Master of Puppets. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the bantamweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Sydney, with a TWGC record of 5 wins and 2 losses; Tim Tom! And in the blue corner, fighting out of London, with a TWGC record of 1 wins and 1 losses; Ben Bikermann! The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Summer Carpenter and Ben Hemmingworth.
The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way. Bikermann looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Tom! Score +4 for clean takedown past guard: Tom (0) vs (4) Bikermann Tom can't do much from the bottom here. Bikermann advances nicely into full mount. Score +2 for reaching mount: Tom (0) vs (6) Bikermann Tom is trying desperately to improve position. Bikermann avoids the attempt from Tom to control. Bikermann takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bikermann jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Tom manages to avoid the submission attempt. Tom regains half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bikermann is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Tom sees it coming and defends easily. Tom is trying to control but can't.
Tom might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Bikermann prevents Tom from improving his position. Tom has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Bikermann is working away from the top position though. Tom looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Bikermann tries to pass the half guard into mount. Tom knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Tom manages to get to full guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Tom has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Bikermann can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bikermann trying to control but Tom is working from the bottom. Tom wants to sweep here but Bikermann controlling him for the moment. Bikermann's corner is telling him to maintain position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Tom looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Tom is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bikermann trying to control the position from guard on top but Tom is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Tom has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Bikermann can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Bikermann stopping the sweep attempt from Tom. Bikermann trying to control but Tom is working from the bottom. Tom has his feet on Bikermann's thighs here. He's pushed Bikermann off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Bikermann screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
