Coming up we have a light heavyweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Tsuyoi Kakuto (ranked 8455 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pat Barry (ranked 5202 p4p, 0 weight class). Kakuto's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Gorillaz-Dirty Harry. Barry has chosen Sweet Dreams as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the light heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Tokyo, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Tsuyoi Kakuto! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Sydney, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Pat Barry!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Skip Squint and Donatello Bradman.


The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Kakuto moves in looking to clinch but Barry pushes him off.

Barry takes the fight into the clinch.
Kakuto jumps guard but Barry stands there with Kakuto around his waist. Kakuto gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Barry manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Kakuto passes Barry's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Barry has a hand on Kakuto's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Kakuto takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Barry tries to lock up and control but Kakuto gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

We've been hearing good reports from Kakuto's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kakuto trying to control from Barry's half guard. Barry has other ideas though and has regained full guard.
Kakuto is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Barry is not content to let Kakuto control the position.

Barry manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Kakuto is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Barry's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Barry's back!

Barry looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.

Kakuto is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Barry has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Kakuto's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.

Kakuto doesn't have the hooks in and Barry manages to turn into his guard.

Kakuto has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Barry should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Kakuto has tightened it up now! Barry should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
