Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ernesto Panado (ranked 9015 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Walker (ranked 5361 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Panado might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Lorde - Team . Walker comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Another One Bites the Dust kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 22 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ernesto Panado!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 15 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, John Walker!
The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Leandro Rodrigues and Felipe Paraventi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Walker throws a head kick that misses.
Panado looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Panado will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Panado misses with a takedown attempt - Walker sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Panado has his takedown stuffed
and Walker cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ernesto Panado. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Walker connects with a nice looking jab.
Walker lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Panado circles away quickly and effectively.
Panado darts in looking for a takedown but Walker gets double underhooks and turns Panado into the cage.

and Walker counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Panado tries to score a power double leg takedown but Walker sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Panado somewhat.
Ernesto Panado seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Panado is defended easily by Walker.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Walker's jab looks to have found its range, popping Panado under the eye.

Panado shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Walker's guard.
Panado wants to pass the guard but Walker is keeping the position.
Walker is pulling down on Panado's head to control his posture.
Walker can't keep his opponent in guard - Panado advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Panado trying to pass the guard but Walker defending well.
Walker keeping hold of Panado's head, controlling as best he can.
Panado is pressing down on Walker's thigh, looking to free his foot. Walker is holding on for now.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Panado is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.
Walker looking for a sweep. Not yet Walker, not yet.
Walker managing to control the position.
Panado stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Walker swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Panado sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Walker's guard.
Panado wants to pass to mount but Walker is defending the position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Panado is working hard here to advance position.
Panado has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Panado working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.

Panado goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Walker is on top in guard.
Panado looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Panado is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Walker defends well.
Walker would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Panado had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Walker defends it easily.
Walker engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Walker wants to pass the guard but Panado is keeping the position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Panado bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Walker's guard.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but John Walker will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Panado misses with a jab, cross combination.
Walker throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Walker tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Panado is looking for a counter combo.
Walker misses the shot to the body.
Walker lands with a nice body kick.
Good exchange - Walker coming out on top.
Walker throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Walker tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Panado was well out of range. Poor timing from Walker.
Walker scores with a jab. Panado acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Panado doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Walker connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
John Walker seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Walker lands with a nice body punch.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Panado shoots in looking for a takedown. Walker tries to sprawl out of it but Panado keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Walker manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Walker thows a body kick. Panado tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Walker has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Panado takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Panado fails with the takedown

and Walker counters with a crisp one two that drops Panado! Walker thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Panado to his feet! Panado is in big trouble!
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ernesto Panado. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Walker throws a quick head kick that knocks Panado silly! This fight is all over! What a finish! Walker is up on the cage, taking in the applause from the crowd.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:26 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). John Walker!
John Walker very nearly forgot to thank Mockstar Energy Drinks 160Q amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you.
Ernesto Panado spoke after the fight, saying 'good win to my opponent sorry to my fans next time I will fight harder '.
