And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Elija Elizondo!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Paul Tew and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maddison throws a sloppy head kick and Elizondo moves out of range easily.
Maddison throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Maddison pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Elizondo showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Maddison.
Maddison wants to clinch
so Elizondo counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Elizondo must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Elizondo gets to his feet. Maddison looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
A momentary lapse in concentration from Maddison enables Elizondo to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Maddison manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Elizondo's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Elizondo won't allow Maddison to get back to his feet.
Maddison really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Elizondo distracts Maddison with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Maddison wants to stand up but Elizondo is controlling him.
Elizondo landing some decent shots from guard.

Maddison has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Elizondo off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Maddison throws a head kick but Elizondo moves out of range.
Maddison is breathing heavily.
Elizondo gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Elizondo manages to break the clinch.
Maddison tries a head kick but it misses.
Elizondo is looking for the big counter here.
Elizondo scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Maddison is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Elizondo in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
Maddison is rocked!
Elizondo really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Maddison. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
A big shot lands for Elizondo! That's hurt Maddison! Will he recover? Elizondo fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!
