Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Levi Garrison (ranked 6868 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kalathil Ashan (ranked 7326 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Levi Garrison! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kalathil Ashan! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Wesley Smith and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ashan darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Ashan controlling the pace. Ashan looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Garrison wants to get back to his feet.
Ashan looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Ashan performing his best blanket impression for a moment. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Garrison has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Ashan is working away from the top position though. Garrison is looking for a sweep. Ashan is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ashan is looking to advance position but Garrison won't allow it. Ashan looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Garrison won't allow Ashan to pass to mount. Ashan seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Garrison gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Ashan has picked Garrison up - he's going for a ride! Ashan dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. Garrison really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Ashan is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Garrison wants to improve his position but Ashan is controlling well.
Garrison has one foot on Ashan's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. Garrison gets in close and instigates a clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. Ashan has hold of one of Garrison's legs. Garrison is fighting the takedown attempt but Ashan gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Ashan controls from within his opponent's guard. Ashan trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Garrison manages to land a sweep and now he's on top! Ashan looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ashan is working an open guard so Garrison takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Garrison gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Ashan tightens his grip and picks Garrison up, before dumping him to the ground. Garrison manages to land in guard. Ashan looks winded! Garrison wants to get back to his feet but Ashan is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Garrison keeping full guard, as Ashan tries to pass. Garrison trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Garrison wants to sweep here but Ashan controlling him for the moment. Garrison is working hard here to advance position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Levi Garrison will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Ashan feints and as Garrison raises his hands in defense, Ashan changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Kalathil Ashan has got the better of the ground game so far. Ashan is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Let's hope that Ashan has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Garrison not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Ashan won't allow Garrison to get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ashan stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Garrison swivels though and keeps the full guard. Garrison wants to stand and escape but Ashan is having none of it. Ashan seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Ashan shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Ashan looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ashan trying to control the action but Garrison is working from the bottom. Garrison is trying to stand up here but Ashan is controlling him well. Ashan is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Ashan is breathing heavily. Garrison is trying to stand back up but Ashan is controlling him
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Garrison is staying active underneath Ashan, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Ashan takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Garrison has closed the distance and engaged Ashan in a clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ashan gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Garrison regains guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Ashan tries to free his leg and advance position but Garrison is retaining full guard. Ashan keeps trying to improve his position.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Garrison rushes Ashan and presses him up against the cage. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Ashan is pushing Garrison up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kalathil Ashan showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Well, if Ashan is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Ashan takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Ashan slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Garrison clinches up with Ashan and pushes him back against the cage. Ashan is stalling here.
Garrison decides to pull guard. Ashan passes easily into side control. Nice work. Ashan wants to lay and pray for a moment but Garrison keeps working.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ashan tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Ashan controls the position. Garrison is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Ashan has just dragged him back down to the mat. Ashan in side control, just content to control the action for now. Garrison is trying to get back to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Ashan is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Garrison's shoulder. That is not cool. Ashan working away. Garrison pushes Ashan away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Ashan gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Ashan decides to stand back up. Ashan steps back and let's Garrison get back to his feet. Garrison closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Ashan has clasped his hands together around Garrison's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Ashan advances to mount.
And that's the end of the fight! Kalathil Ashan comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Ashan has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
