Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ramon Lesnar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anderson Franklin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ramon Lesnar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Anderson Franklin!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Steve Smith and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Franklin shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Franklin tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Franklin has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Franklin is looking to stall here but Lesnar recovers full guard.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Lesnar is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Lesnar shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Franklin counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Lesnar!
Lesnar tries to lock up and control but Franklin gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Franklin cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Lesnar tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Franklin blocks Lesnar's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.
Franklin avoids the attempt from Lesnar to control.
The referee warns Lesnar that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Lesnar wants to hold on but Franklin pushes him away.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!



Lesnar gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Franklin accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Franklin has hold of Lesnar's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Lesnar manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Lesnar is squirming around, avoiding Franklin's attempts to control the action.
Franklin lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Lesnar hang on?

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lesnar is looking to improve his position but Franklin isn't that keen on the idea.

Franklin wants to finish this one by submission but Lesnar is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Franklin.

Franklin tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Anderson Franklin showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. And we move into the final round!


Lesnar tries for a takedown but Franklin circles away easily

and Franklin counters with a single leg into guard. Lesnar didn't expect that.

Franklin wants to free his trapped foot but Lesnar is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Lesnar seems a little lost for a moment, as Franklin dominates the positioning.

Franklin wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Lesnar, who protects the arm well.

Lesnar is trying to control Franklin's posture but Franklin avoids it.

Franklin decides to stand back up. Franklin steps back and let's Lesnar get back to his feet.
Lesnar misses with a takedown

and Franklin counters by clinching up.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
The referee calls for Franklin to work.
Lesnar misses with a knee strike.
Lesnar tries to score a body lock takedown but Franklin shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ramon Lesnar. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Franklin pulls guard effortlessly.

Franklin is looking for a triangle but Lesnar pushes his legs off easily.

Well Franklin has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
