PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sasaki Shinji (ranked 6047 p4p, 0 weight class) and Izzedin El Derabani (ranked 4924 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Sasaki Shinji has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Sasaki Shinji seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
El Derabani swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
El Derabani avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Shinji moves in looking to clinch but El Derabani pushes him off.
El Derabani shoots in looking for a takedown. Shinji tries to sprawl out of it but El Derabani keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Shinji manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Shinji attempts a counter takedown but El Derabani avoids it well and moves away.

El Derabani clinches up with Shinji and pushes him back against the cage.
Shinji is trying to pull guard but El Derabani has him pressed against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Shinji jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as El Derabani walks away with a smile on his face. Shinji gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
El Derabani shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Sasaki Shinji has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Izzedin El Derabani.
El Derabani looks for a takedown but Shinji sprawls well.

El Derabani is looking to control Shinji's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can El Derabani avoid being mounted?
